RAC1 today announced the winners of the DRAC 2024 awards, which recognize people, initiatives, organizations and projects that have promoted changes and improvements in society and that have become a benchmark during the last year. The Newcomer of the Year award goes to Mushkaa, who at only 20 years old has become the revelation of the urban music scene, with 270,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

The Cultural Project award goes to the Sónar Festival, which has turned 30 years old and has become a European benchmark not only for concerts but also for conferences and artistic exhibitions. The lifetime achievement award goes, posthumously, to Àngel Velasco Pérez, who rescued a bankrupt company, Torrons Vicens, and, in just over 20 years, consolidated it as a leader in the nougat sector. The award for excellence goes to Club Patinatge Artístic Olot, 14-time world champion of women's figure skating in large show mode.

The Sant Joan de Déu Hospital receives the Contribution to well-being award, the year of the 50th anniversary of its current location in Esplugues de Llobregat and becoming an international reference center in Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Neonatology, Oncology and Cardiosurgery.
