Brazilian soccer player Hugo Vinícius Skulny Pedrosa, barely 19 years old, has been found in Brazil decapitated and dismembered. The player's body was found in the Igautemi river, in Sete Quedas, in the state of Mato Grosso.
Vinícius, who disappeared on June 25 after attending a party with a group of friends, was a striker for Sete Quedas. At the end of the celebration, his friends dropped him off at his house, where he disappeared.
The security forces proceeded to start their search. After several days, the footballer's hip, torso and thigh have been found in the river. Authorities have yet to find the young man's head.
The chief inspector of the Civil Police, Lucelia Constantino, has confirmed in statements to the Brazilian media that there is a detainee for the crime, although his identity has not yet been revealed.
"They found him dead in the Iguatemi river, they dismembered him. What cruelty in the world, my God. My son was a good boy," said the player's mother, Eliana Skulny.
