The Civil Guard arrested a 35-year-old man residing in Madrid on Wednesday for allegedly carrying 7.78 kilograms of cocaine in his vehicle while driving on the AP-7, near La Jonquera (Girona).
The agents intercepted the vehicle -with a German license plate and which was traveling in the direction of France- to carry out a "more exhaustive" inspection, and found the substance hidden in the part of the vehicle's front wheel arch, the police force reported this Sunday in a statement.
The detainee, the proceedings and the seized drugs were made available to the Acting Investigating Court of Guardia de Figueres.
