Six people, including a minor, have been injured, of varying degrees, after being hit by a drunk driver on a central street in the capital Granada.
The multiple hit-and-run occurred at 7:40 a.m. on San Antón street in the city. Several witnesses called Emergencias Andalucía to report that a car had left the road at street number 75 and had run over several people, including a child under 14 years of age.
In addition to the driver and pedestrians, the two occupants of the vehicle have been injured.
As reported by the Local Police of Granada, the driver and "potential homicidal" was driving at 80 km/h according to an occupant of the vehicle and being a novelty, he has given rates of 0.74 and 0.71 mg/l of alcohol in exhaled air .
The 23-year-old driver has also tested positive for drugs and had recently obtained his license.
In total, nine people have been injured and have been assisted at the San Cecilio Clinical University Hospital without fearing for the lives of any of them.
The attestation team is carrying out the procedures to refer to the court for two alleged crimes of driving under the influence of alcohol and another for reckless driving.
