Why does your cat sleep on your pillow?

If cats are famous for something, it is for the curious shapes and peculiar places that these animals choose for their rest. In fact, you only need to take a quick look at any current social network to realize this. Cats sleep on the couch, in cardboard boxes, lying on the floor under a table, on the edge of the back of a chair, in a sink or even on the laptop keyboard. Any place seems perfect to take a nap. However, there is one in particular that bothers some owners: the pillow.

This is mainly due to the discomfort of getting into bed at the end of a hard day's sleep and finding that the pillow is full of hair from your feline companion. Or rolling over in bed in the middle of the night and coming face to face with the cat. Something that people with allergies, certain breathing problems or sensitive skin, for example, should be especially careful with. However, why do they do it? What is the reason for this behavior? There is an explanation.

One of the places that some cats choose to sleep in some of the around 15 hours a day they dedicate to such activity is the pillow. They do not do it with the intention of annoying, in fact, quite the opposite, it is a show of affection.
