Toto will close the Guitar Bcn 2024 in Poble Espanyol

Guitar Bcn 2024 presented the bulk of its programming this Wednesday and announced the stellar performance that will close the edition: the Americans Toto, who will perform at Poble Espanyol on July 26.

The group led by Steve Lukather and Joseph Williams is an undisputed benchmark of the most elaborate and virtuosic rock, with memorable anthems such as Africa, Rossana and Hold The Line among many others.

In the last decade, it has also experienced a renaissance in popularity and has achieved 3.4 billion streams on Spotify. Likewise, the band has nearly 5,000 million views on all digital platforms.

According to the festival, "individually and collectively, the band's family tree can be heard in an astonishing 5,000 albums that together amass a sales history of half a billion copies." "They are pop culture and they are one of the few bands from the '70s that have withstood changing trends and styles while still being relevant," he says, recalling that they have accumulated several Grammys.

Tickets for Toto will go on sale this Friday at 12:00 p.m. and they will share the bill with Rozalén, Mikel Izal, El Kanka, Coque Malla and Xoel López, among others.

Also performing will be Los Tigres del Norte, who will return to Barcelona for the first time since 2008, the singer Noa, the musician Rodrigo Cuevas, Les Marlena, Vicco and Gossos. In addition, the contest will pay tribute to the 70s with tribute groups such as The Australian Pink Floyd Show (from Pink Floyd), Opus One (from Mike Olfield) and The Musical Box (from Genesis).
