A video published by the cat-focused TikTok account, @rescuecatmittens, has gone viral due to its great emotional charge, giving an abandoned cat a second chance.
The couple discovered Callie about to be euthanized for her aggressive behavior. Given her complicated situation, they decided to take her home, where she has become one of the family.
"She had just lost her babies and was heartbroken. All she wanted was to be a mother," says her owner, who fell in love with Callie and decided to bet on her.
"Ever since our daughter was born, Callie has treated her like a kitten. Her favorite time of day is when our daughter gets up from a nap. She was aggressive because she was grieving," he says.
Callie quickly settled into her new home, taking care of her family: "Now that she's a mom again, Callie is the nicest, most patient and loving cat," her new owners say.
In a matter of days, the video has gone viral, accumulating thousands of views and all kinds of reactions from users who have been captivated by the scene: "The only thing she seeks is to be loved, everything that animals and we look for" or “I want to have a child for my cat” were some of the most popular comments.
