Few dishes are more famous in Spanish gastronomy than paella, a rice-based recipe to which water, tomatoes, salt, olive oil, saffron and meat or fish are added, to the taste of the consumer or diner.
A true institution in the Valencian Community, where this preparation has its origin and where they do not forgive certain sacrilege of bars and restaurants that opt for their "own" version. To be considered a paella, they always have to meet certain minimum requirements.
For this reason, indignation has spread through social networks when seeing the paellas offered in a restaurant. According to a publication shared by political scientist Gerard Goday, a local considered Cuban-style rice and arroz tres delicacies as such, which have nothing to do with the original recipe.
This user wanted to use irony when seeing the restaurant's menu, writing the word "paellas" in capital letters in a publication on X (formerly Twitter).
Users of this social network have also harshly criticized this establishment. "I want to violently tear out my eyes," one said. "Piece of insult to my beloved Spanish gastronomy," added another. And some warned: "I'm going to start screaming."
