A few months before the celebration of the millennium of the founding of the Montserrat monastery – between September 8, 2024 and December 8 of the following year – the institution has presented the logo that will accompany the events that commemorate it, the work of Carlos Ortega, graphic designer who has been working on Montserrat's corporate image since the nineties.
The logo aims to have a direct connection with the history of the monastery: with a white background, on the left there is a letter M (representative as a Roman numeral of the thousand years), and on the right, in the corporate red color of Montserrat (Pantone 201 ), the iconic profile image of the Virgin of Montserrat. Below, the words Montserrat, Monestir and Mil·lenari. The logo will also be added to the monastery's corporate communication – signage, stationery... – in addition to the new merchandising.
During the fifteen months of celebrating the millennium there will be some dates that will take on special relevance, such as the festival of the Virgin of Montserrat, those related to Saint Benedict or the anniversary of the death of Abbot Oliba, but the monastery hopes for the participation of society. civil in the organization of the activities held.
