And although the theme of the works is free, they must star girls or women, either relevant historical figures or fictional characters.

An independent jury will determine the winning novel and the finalist. Among the participating personalities are, in addition to Hortensia Roig: the oncologist and professor, Ana Lluch; the biochemist and nanotechnologist, Laura Lechuga; the CEO of 50

The contest continues in its mission to promote girls' access to STEM careers. In the words of Hortensia Roig, this award is "an opportunity for budding writers to unleash their creativity and express through writing that, in science, technology or mathematics, girls can find a promising future." .

“Literature, in addition to entertainment, is a catalyst for learning and growth. My goal with this initiative is to do my part to achieve a richer and more diverse future in which girls participate with equal opportunities,” said the president of EDEM.

Furthermore, Jordi Nadal, CEO and founder of Plataforma Editorial, adds that he is excited to publish "a book that promotes STEM vocations. Science with humanism (that is, science with consciousness) gives us better perspectives for the future."
