The harsh end of Leone, the tortured cat in Angri who could not survive his injuries

Leone, the little cat who was cruelly tortured and left dying on the streets of Angri (Italy), has lost his life due to terrible wounds inflicted by unknown persons.

The tragic news was announced by the volunteers of the Cava dei Tirreni shelter, who had rescued him and handed him over to receive care at the veterinary clinic of the Cava Local Health Department.

Deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli (Verdi Sinistra Alliance) has echoed the feeling of indignation that has invaded public opinion after learning of the torture suffered by Leone. "The murderer of little Leone, and his possible accomplices, must be brought to justice as soon as possible," said the deputy, condemning the unprecedented act of cruelty perpetrated against the innocent feline.

"A criminal capable of committing this act of unprecedented cruelty, something never seen before, is a public danger. He must be found and condemned in an exemplary manner. And with him, all those who eventually helped him. Anyone who has useful information for investigators must come forward, even anonymously, to ensure that this horrible crime does not go unpunished," added Borrelli, urging citizen collaboration in the investigations.

The deputy has been closely following the developments of the investigations aimed at identifying those responsible for this brutal attack. Meanwhile, the society expresses its gratitude to the volunteers and veterinarians who tried to save Leone's life until the last moment. Borrelli's hope is that justice is served as soon as possible in this case that has shocked the community.
