Plan with cheeses and cheesecakes for this weekend

Today and tomorrow Barcelona hosts the Cheesy Fest, the festival dedicated to cheese and the entire universe that surrounds it. A gastronomic meeting designed for those who are devoted to this food, but that also focuses on the producers and the complicities with other sectors such as oenology and pastry.

The Catalan capital has said goodbye to the Parmigiano Reggiano Festival, which was held until last weekend, to host this new event with cheese as the protagonist, now focused on the multitude of varieties that exist in the sector, with textures, flavors, cures and nuances of all kinds.

At the meeting you will be able to taste some national and international references from the hand of their producers. In addition, wine, the quintessential pairing for this product, will also play a prominent role through different tastings led by winemakers and sommeliers on Saturday.

Likewise, you can taste cheese in its sweetest version through the cheesecakes offered by well-known local bakeries such as Jon Cake, Kchopo and La Fundente. The latter will also give sessions in which it will teach some secrets in the preparation of this dessert that has become one of the most acclaimed in recent years.

The França station will be the stage that will host the Chessy Fest, today from seven in the afternoon until two in the morning, and tomorrow from noon. You can also try hamburgers, bikinis, tequeños or quesadillas, all with cheese as the protagonist. In addition, there will be cocktails, live music and a DJ that will liven up the meeting. The price of tickets ranges between 11 euros and 31 euros, depending on the activities chosen. The general price includes a tapa or a slice of cheesecake and a drink.
