Outrage with a waiter's offer to work at the April Fair 13 hours a day: "Surely he doesn't have a dataphone either"

The April Fair in Seville will create hundreds of jobs during those festive days. However, abusive job offers also abound, which seek to make people accept almost slave-like conditions and which end up going viral on social networks.

The last example is collected by the account Soy Camarero, which decided to denounce the unworthy situations of colleagues in the hospitality sector. "Waiter wanted to work in a booth. They pay 600 per week," can be read in a WhatsApp message.

The surprise comes when the work schedule is detailed: "To work from 2 to 3 in the morning. It would be something like 13 hours a day." And it does not detail whether there would be any type of rest. Nor does it talk about whether they are responsible for the lunch or dinner of these workers.

According to the message, the businessman is in a hurry to fill that vacancy. "Let me know if you are interested, please," he says.

After the announcement, criticism over the conditions of the offer did not take long to come. "For whatever reason, labor inspectors don't come to the fair," says an X user (formerly Twitter). "600 euros a week for working 13 hours a day. I put the entire labor inspection to work those days," adds another.

"Surely it doesn't have a dataphone either," says another follower ironically. And some charge against offers like this: "'You confirm me'. As if I take it for granted that yes, that you are interested. Gentleman, for 600 euros I won't get out of bed, much less go to a booth."
