Outrage over a video that shows the terror of a husky in full 'mascletà' of Madrid

Thanks to social networks, mainly TikTok, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), users observe the most surreal scenes every week. This week, a video went viral in which a Husky dog runs away from a mascletà held in Madrid.

As can be seen in the viral video, a neighbor goes to the mascletà in the Spanish capital to enjoy the fireworks show. Failure? His company. The stranger went to his dog, a mistake considering the effect of loud noises on animals.

Many animals are not only scared but also stressed by loud noises, which can trigger unexpected and dangerous attitudes that can harm themselves, such as flight, hitting and disorientation that can lead to loss.

In the case of this Husky, the animal begins to get stressed by the noise derived from the pyrotechnic show, so it quickly lets go of its leash and runs away without looking back: "Asshole, you're stupid!" shouts one of those present while the owner of the animal runs in search of him.

As expected, this horrible scene already amasses all kinds of comments from users who have been left speechless with the owner's attitude: "Let them take away the animals in his care NOW" or "The dog has more brains than the human" are some of the most popular comments.

As explained by Marisol Rey, professional trainer and director of Patita Patita Training, "sounds with low pitch and high intensity correspond to dangerous events, such as electrical storms, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions; and this causes the instinctive fear of that type of "sound stimuli is favorable for their survival. The evolution of the species tends to strengthen this fear in animals."

Likewise, the hearing capacity of dogs is much greater than that of the human species, so they are more sensitive than us to loud sounds. Added to this is ignorance: dogs do not know that they will last a short period, and they do not know its duration.
