Neither I, nor my other Jon, nor anyone else would miss this movie

An anecdote by director Paco Arango with his mother was the seed of this film titled 'My Other Jon', which is based on the last and curious months of the life of its protagonist, Merche, played by the brilliant Carmen Maura.

Olivia Molina, Fernando Albizu, Ana Obregón and Aitana Sánchez-Gijón are just some of the well-known faces that fill the screen with humor, emotion and reflection for 124 minutes. A 100% charitable film whose proceeds will go to helping children with cancer through the Aladina Foundation, of which its director is president.

Merche (Carmen Maura) receives the worst news: she has little time to live. Faced with this setback, she decides to make her last dream come true with her daughter Rocio (Olivia Molina): travel to the Canary Island of La Palma to see the sea for the last time. Only something prevents him from doing so: her physical health. A problem to which a brilliant scientist proposes a solution by 'transforming her' into the body of Jon, a recently deceased Basque truck driver.

A story of humor, friendship, adventure and reflection about getting the most out of life before it's too late.

The feature by Paco Arango, which premieres on Friday, October 20, is also a support and memory of the natural disaster that occurred in La Palma in 2021 due to the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano.
