Ideas to decorate a Halloween table

October 31 is a pagan holiday in which we not only remember loved ones who are no longer with us and who "visit" us on this mysterious night full of fears and omens. Furthermore, it symbolizes gratitude for everything we have “harvested” in the last year and preparation for the year to come.

Also on this night, groups of children usually knock on the door, from whom we will receive a great scare or a terrifying joke if they are not given candy or other sweets (Trick or threat). Therefore, I suggest that you all prepare a basket full of candy to avoid bad omens and satisfy your childhood cravings for sweets.

The tradition of this night prior to the holiday of November 1, establishes that friends and family gather around the table to celebrate the goodness of life and to protect themselves from future adversities.

With this background theme, the decoration of the table consists precisely of those fruits and flowers typical of the time, encouraging readers to use those that are closest to hand. On this table, Zinnia (@zinniaflors_oficial) helped me with the selection: hydrangeas, ears of corn, mini pumpkins, magnolia leaves and dried pine cones, the fruit of magnolia, and some rose hip balls.

I have also added some grapefruits and pomegranates to give even more brightness and vitality to the table. It is a time when the colors of autumn prevail in all these fruits and give this special and endearing touch.

¡Feliz Halloween!
