Perhaps better known by the general public for her outstanding works in musical theater or her television presence, La dona que em vesteix (Global Music) is already the fourth album by the Barcelona singer and artist after Tocant fusta (2010), Madera ( 2012) and Delicate (2014).
As Gadel herself (Barcelona, 1982) explains, the song that gives the album its title and that synthesizes its content, "I composed it one day when after much exposition I came home very exhausted and I thought how tired, although I like it a lot, this thing that women are required more than men to be well, to be great, to be educated, correct and not to leave the place they touch".
"I come home so tired, my two children, ages 4 and 6, who are waiting for me... it really is tough, but here we are," explains the actress from the series Com si fos ahir and a member of the jury for the Eufòria contest.
It had been eight years since she recorded new songs, and these were composed during the pandemic, which have given shape to a "very personal" work produced by Marc Parrot, which has added an attractive electronic varnish to the flamenco pop characteristic of the vocalist.
