Long hair, a cowboy hat and happy pop are the hallmarks of Carlos Sadness, the Barcelona musician who has chosen the Apolo hall in his city to present Magical Realism in a concert that will go beyond the new songs to review his career and talk to the public about the new 12 songs that will take over from Tropical Jesus.

The fifth album by Carlos Alberto Sánchez Uriol, co-produced with Ariel and Migz, features the collaborations of Mexicans Carla Morrison, Ximena Sariñana and Melissa Robles in an attempt to connect with “the sensitivity, kindness and tenderness of reality” for which he wraps himself in sweet, fresh and danceable melodies in search of the magic that the world hides.

With more than 1.4 million followers on Spotify, Carlos Sadness has achieved a loyal base of followers in a career where he has provided music for the video game “Fifa 21”, in addition to winning a Latin Grammy in 2018 for best design for his album Different types of light, an award that recognizes the facet as an illustrator that the Barcelona native reflects in his albums.
