A woman rescued a squirrel and four years later she still visits it to kiss it

A squirrel named Mr. Peaches has become the protagonist of a beautiful story. Discovered orphaned on the terrace of the house and with no chance of surviving as she was very small, the squirrel quickly found comfort by climbing into the jeans of Linda, her kind rescuer. "I don't know how I can be so tied to this squirrel," she says.

The day the squirrel made his unexpected appearance, Linda's children were home and their curiosity and excitement were evident. Even Jake, the family dog, looked curiously at the small animal.

Steve, Linda's partner, recognized the need to intervene and offered his help to the squirrel, who was curled up in a ball using his tail as a blanket. The family quickly adapted to their new responsibilities, heeding the squirrel's demands: "He knows when it's time to play." They even started giving him shelled almonds because of his underdeveloped teeth. She now even knows where her food is, so she just has to go there and get it.

As the squirrel grew, the family realized that its shelter, a chest of drawers with wicker drawers, was insufficient. Taking advantage of Mr. Peaches' love of high places, Linda's father built a beautiful pagoda, suspended from a hook, which served as a refuge for the squirrel. There he has built a kind of nest.

Apparently, this squirrel is usually absent from the family home from time to time, as his wild instincts continue to be intact. However, even though four years have passed since they found her, she always comes back. "She kisses me a lot, so I think she knows what love is," the woman said.

This moving story has inspired Linda to write a book, which has been quite successful. "It's a very sweet story and they encouraged me to do it, so I sat down and wrote it," she said, stating that the squirrel has changed her life. Additionally, she has now rescued two other squirrels.
