A well-known supermarket chain withdraws two of its potato tortillas for sanitary reasons

The Ahorramas supermarket chain has issued a statement warning customers of the withdrawal of two of its potato tortillas for sanitary reasons. Specifically, it is the potato omelette with onion and the potato omelette without onion, both from the Alipende brand.

Although they have not specified the specific cause of this warning, and no official health alert associated with these products has been reported, the company has asked customers who have recently purchased the products to return them to the nearest store.

In the letter, in which the company addresses its customers directly, they point out that the aforementioned tortillas, which are sold under the chain's own brand, Alipende, are manufactured by the Palacios company, have been cautiously withdrawn from sale.

"If you have purchased one of these products, you can return them to your nearest store and the amount will be refunded, upon presentation of the purchase receipt," they indicated. Of course, given the complaint of many customers for having to present the receipt of the purchase, the supermarket chain ended up confirming that it will no longer be necessary to present it for the return.

It should be noted, as a curiosity, that the Palacios company seems not to have been affected, since they did not comment on it. For its part, Ahorramas invited people to use the Customer Service department's telephone number: 900 113 213 to resolve any type of doubt.
