A new version of the Scottish play, as William Shakespeare's Macbeth is known by superstition in the Anglophone theater world, opens this Wednesday at the Akadèmia theater (until April 29).
Directed by Moreno Bernardi, David Menéndez assumes the leading role, accompanied by Sara Palomo as Lady Macbeth. The cast that deals with various disciplines is completed by Zúbel Arana, Uri Guillem, Albert Muntané, Roger Sahuquillo, Aina Serena and Marçal Gené, and the violinist David Flores.
On this occasion, it is a multidisciplinary show, in a choral proposal where words, music, movement, fashion and various plastic and sound elements come together and interact on stage. The translation is by Sadurní Vergés and the production is by the Akadèmia theater in collaboration with Lo Spazio.
