After the success of the series La Última (Disney), Aitana Ocaña returns to the world of acting with the film Pared con pared, a remake of a French romantic comedy released in 2015. It is the first starring the singer, who assures that she faces with respect and love, although he admits to Efe that he doesn't know if acting is good for him.
The film tells the battle between Valentina and her neighbor. "A young pianist prepares for an audition. He, a game inventor who can only concentrate in silence. Only a thin wall separates them... will they manage to learn to live together?", she advances in her synopsis.
Aitana is accompanied by well-known faces such as actors Fernando Guallar, Natalia Rodríguez, Adam Jezierski, Paco Tous and Miguel Ángel Muñoz, among others.
The story is led by director Patricia Font, who became director in 2023 with the applauded The Master Who Promised the Sea. The script is written by Marta Sánchez, who previously put her stamp on series like There Below.
Some film buffs have not been able to avoid the comparison with the French film Behind the Wall (2015). In fact, the synopsis is almost identical, as FilmAffinity notes: "He is an inventor of games and puzzles, very jealous of his work, which he can only concentrate in absolute silence. She is an accomplished pianist who cannot live without music and who is preparing for a high-level competition".
Like Wall to Wall, the question is whether apparently different people will be able to coexist and if they will end up falling in love.
There are also differences between these two films. The first, its protagonists and supporting actors. Secondly, the duration. The latter a few minutes longer than his French sister.
Wall with wall, the first film starring Aitana, premieres on Netflix next Friday, April 12. The production will be able to see it as many times as users registered on this streaming platform want.
