The most popular dating space on the small screen, First Dates, closed its doors for another week. On Friday night, viewers of the program were able to enjoy a new batch of romantic dates between different diners, which featured totally unexpected endings.
One of the couples of the night was Alejandro and Gisela. The 26-year-old Catalan bachelor arrived at the restaurant confessing that one of his greatest passions was poker and that he was currently trying to become a professional. ''During the quarantine, poker appeared in my life and I fell in love with it,'' he said. As for love, the bachelor confessed that he did not have any prototype of a girl because he focused more on attitude.
His date was going to be Gisela, a 22-year-old Catalan sociology student, who considered herself a very sarcastic person. ''Sometimes I don't feel like making new friends and sometimes I'm more open,'' she confessed. The first impression among the singles was quite peculiar. While Alejandro was delighted with her, Gisela was disappointed. ''I liked her, she seemed pretty to me,'' he confessed. ''She is not my prototype. "He doesn't look much like the guys I usually hang out with," she asserted.
After exchanging their first words, the presenter accompanied the couple to their table, where an evening was going to begin in which darts were going to be the order of the day. Once seated, the singles talked about the basics of their lives, such as how the single woman was vegan. A confession that caused the first shock of the night. ''It would be difficult for me, the food doesn't have the same flavor,'' said the bachelor, who also said that a friend of his had had to stop being vegan due to a lowering of his immune system. ''That's not the fault of being vegan, that's because you don't eat well,'' she said.
''I like that you can contradict a person without them being offended or insulting you,'' commented the single woman. Moments later, the singles were talking about their studies and dream jobs.
Alejandro left the single woman speechless by confessing that he was studying to be a poker professional. ''Are you studying poker?'' she joked. ''I came here to be hesitated,'' said the bachelor, laughing. ''I find it funny that he has outings like that, I prefer that to a dull person,'' commented the bachelor. ''I like that he goes along with me because it makes the conversation more fun,'' declared the Catalan.
At one point during the evening, Alejandro confessed that in the future he would love to have four children. However, this confession did not particularly please the single woman. ''I am amputating both legs, without anesthesia. One child already seems unbearable to me, four already...'' she asserted, who also confessed that she only wanted to have dogs or cats. ''That hurt me,'' he said.
In the final stretch of the evening, the singles continued with their particular dynamic as if it were a 'tug of war'. For this reason, and even though the couple did not start the dinner on the right foot, Alejandro and Gisela managed to get closer and discover that, perhaps, a beautiful love story could emerge between the two. For that reason, singles decided to leave the restaurant hand in hand.
