This is the refuge of Mary of Denmark where she seeks peace after the controversy between Prince Frederick and Genevieve Casanova

Mary from Denmark has found herself involved in a scandal without looking for it or expecting it. Her husband Federico from Denmark has made headlines in the Spanish press after appearing with Genoveva Casanova in photographs walking through the streets of Madrid. A report that in a few weeks has gone around the world and that does not leave the crown prince in a very good position.

So much so, that the Danish press has described this encounter as "adultery", despite placing much of the blame on the Mexican actress. For her part, Casanova wanted to deny any rumor of a relationship between the two. "We are friends and the photos do not prove anything. Except for those who want to distort the images and see where there are none," she said. Still, the damage had already been done.

Although they have wanted to appear normal, if one thing is clear, it is that Mary from Denmark was not amused by what happened, and that is why she wanted to find a refuge to go to when she is having a bad time. As she has published in the magazine Hello!, Mary Donaldson goes to Fredensborg Palace very often.

This has the prestige of being the oldest in all of Denmark, built in 1753, and is surrounded by nature, which the princess likes most. "In recent years I have become more aware of how much good I get from being in nature, which has always filled my life. Here I can let my thoughts flow," she said, according to the aforementioned magazine.

This palace is in the baroque style and Mary knows it very well because it was the first home she had after marrying Frederick of Denmark. A farm where she can give free rein to gardening, one of her passions and one that makes her more focused.

Although they now only use it as a summer residence, the Danish princess does not hesitate to go there at any time of the year. In addition, it is also usually used for large celebrations, including in honor of the last trip of the Kings of Spain to the Nordic country.

And it is not surprising that Mary from Denmark has a refuge for her given the mental health problems she has suffered over the years. With this, it seems that she can recover more easily thanks to the calm environment and the air she breathes surrounded by nature.

"We all need help from time to time (...) This is what happens with pain. If you don't process it, it can become a complicated grief that affects your quality of life, your health. We think too much about what "others think and feel. I wish we could get rid of that a little bit," he said in an interview.
