A year ago, David Bisbal's family had to face an unexpected crisis: the singer's brother, José María Bisbal Ferre, disappeared in Roquetas de Mar, activating a search by land, sea and air.

The Civil Guard even considered suicide, since José María had argued hours before with his wife, Guadalupe. Luckily, Josemari was found alive a few hours later in the urban area.

After being found, the state of health of David Bisbal's brother was delicate. A spinal injury meant that the singer's former manager was in a wheelchair, and he was admitted to the National Hospital for Paraplegics in Toledo for five months.

Once he was able to leave the medical center, Josemari decided to make a 180-degree turn in his life and dedicate himself fully to his new vocation, para-badminton. He joined FESBA (Spanish Badminton Federation) and is currently one of the team's most beloved midfielders.

The brother of the Ave María interpreter is currently preparing for an incredible project that will take place in the middle of this month, the third edition of the Spanish International Parabadminton, a competition in Vitoria that will feature more than 300 athletes.

Josemari is in the WH1 category, as stated by the Zuzenak Club; This includes players with "a considerable limitation of movement on one side of the body up to the middle of the torso and legs."
