Emilio Aragón, son of the legendary Miliki, grew up among cameras and stages from a very young age. Over the years, he has excelled in various facets of the show. However, in a recent interview with Carlos del Amor in La Matemática del Espejo, Aragón has spoken about his decision to partially withdraw from public life to focus on his family and his personal development.
An activity in which he has been investing a lot of time is music, something for which he has had a passion since he was very young. One of the great culprits of this love was Miliki, his father. Precisely, he made a promise to him that he could not keep: to master and perform a complete concerto by Maurice Ravel, a challenge that he has been putting off over the years.
Despite the impediments, Aragón has dedicated an entire year to studying the complex work of Ravel, for whom Miliki had great admiration: "I remember that one day, talking to my father, I told him: One day I will play it." Well , my father died and I couldn't play it... After the pandemic I began to rethink many things in my life and I told myself: I have to study that concert... And I have spent a year studying it."
In addition to his musical promise, Aragón has also shared reflections on his father, highlighting the influence he had on him both personally and professionally. "I have been lucky to have a father, a co-worker and a friend. I have been lucky because I have had the teacher at home. I have seen him write the scripts," he expressed with emotion and admiration towards the remembered Miliki.
The artist has also confessed that he still rescues lessons and memories from his father, indicating that his legacy continues to be a source of daily inspiration for him: "I miss him very much. We talked a lot."
