This is the actress with the most Oscar awards in history: what happened to her

Actresses Lily Gladstone for The Moon Killers; Carey Mulligan for Maestro; Emma Stone for Poor Creatures, Annette Bening for Nyad; and Sandra Hüller for Anatomy of a Fall will compete for the 2024 Oscar award for best actress.

It would be the second for the now protagonist of Poor Creatures, by the Greek Yorgos Lanthimos, one of the favorite films with 11 nominations. However, any of them will be far from Katharine Hepburn, with four statuettes behind her.

Hepburn is the actress with the most Oscars in history. The performer, who developed her career in the era of classic Hollywood, was awarded for her roles in Glory for a Day (1933), Guess Who's Coming to Dinner Tonight (1967), The Lion in Winter (1968) and On the Pond golden (1981).

She filmed nearly fifty films, never submitting to the demands of Hollywood, something that has increased the fascination that many feel for her.

Film director Frank Capra defined her in the following way: “There are women, and then there is Kathe. There are actresses and actresses, and then there is Hepburn”, when he directed her in The State of the Union (1948).

Only a small group of actors and actresses have managed to overcome the barrier of three Oscar awards for their film roles: Frances McDormand, Meryl Streep, Ingrid Bergman, Daniel Day-Lewis, Jack Nicholson and Walter Brennan.

Among the actors or actresses with the most Oscar awards, big names such as Marlon Brando, Cate Blanchett, Jane Fonda, Jessica Lange and Tom Hanks would also stand out. All with two statuettes.
