The winner of 'GH7', sentenced to pay 60,000 euros to Jorge Javier for accusing him of "covering up a rape"

Jorge Javier Vázquez has won the legal battle against Pepe Herrero, winner of Big Brother 7. The former contestant of the Telecinco reality show has been sentenced to pay compensation to the presenter of Supervivientes of 60,000 euros for accusing him of ''covering up a rape'' , as revealed by the media outlet El Independiente.

The events occurred on November 20, 2019, when the winner of the seventh edition of the Mediaset contest, Pepe Herrero, accused, in a conversation on his YouTube channel with Coto Matamoros, the presenter of having covered up a crime of rape. ''Please Jorge Javier, give us another class on morality tomorrow. Jorge Javier please be scared of what Adara has done with her husband. Please, Jorge Javier, put your hands on your head, you covered up a rape, you piece of bastard. Now if you want, give us a class on morality. 12 months, 12 causes, okay?'' were Herrero's words.

''For money you ate it all. No man no, you can't. Starting with you who are number one and ending with all the sell-outs who were sitting at that time. You at least charge five hundred, six hundred, seven hundred thousand bucks to do it, and it is true that we all have a price, but for eighty euros, for ninety euros, as you all have done, swallow that...'', the former contestant continued.

These were serious accusations that did not go unnoticed by the presenter, who immediately reported the facts to the court of first instance number 26 in Madrid. Now, almost five years later, the court has agreed with the presenter, considering Herrero guilty of a crime of illegitimate interference in the right to honor.

For this reason, the winner of Big Brother must pay 60,000 euros to Jorge Javier Vázquez, a figure lower than what the presenter's defense requested, which demanded compensation of 100,000 euros. According to the aforementioned media, the judicial decision was made last October, but Herrero declared himself in procedural default, so the sentence became final this March.
