The TV factory: from being the most watched production company to disappearing from Mediaset on January 1

This Monday, the workers at La factory de la tele received the news that had been foreshadowed over the last few weeks: the breakup of the production company with Mediaset España is final and will materialize on January 1, the day on which the three programs that are still broadcast in the group (Everything is a Lie, Socialité and Viajando con Chester) will have to change hands.

The digital television station Bluper confirmed the news, which is the cherry on top of the cooling of a relationship that began with the sudden cancellation of Sálvame and the Deluxe, known last May and which its own workers found out about through the press. This was the beginning of the end for a highly successful union for several years, becoming the most watched production company within Mediaset.

In this way, the production company led by Óscar Cornejo and Adrián Madrid, and which continues to be immersed in the Sálvese who can project for Netflix, leaves Mediaset, despite the fact that the communication group maintains a 33% stake in the company. Likewise, its three programs broadcast on Telecinco and Cuatro will continue, of course, with other production companies.

Socialité is the first for which there are already new hands. As announced by the Algo Pasa TV account on Instagram, the social chronicle program that is broadcast on Telecinco weekend mornings will now be produced by Fénix Media, a company founded by presenter Christian Gálvez and also owned by Mediaset España. It is unknown if María Patiño will continue in the presentation or if there will also be changes noticeable by viewers.

The two spaces whose future would not yet be decided are Everything is a Lie and Traveling with Chester. According to the information that Bluper had access to weeks ago, Mediaset would have offered Risto Mejide, presenter of both programs, the creation of a new production company run by the publicist to include them under its umbrella.

This is not the first change of production company for some of the communication group's programs. Next year, 2024, Supervivientes will move from Bulldog TV, another of the production companies owned by Mediaset, to Cuarzo Producciones. A movement immersed in which spaces such as El program de Ana Rosa or Cuarto Milenio suffered, which were taken from Cuarzo in 2018 to move to Unicorn Content, a production company that at that time was newly created and that has Ana Rosa Quintana as one of its founders.
