The surprising magic trick of a young woman on her diner in 'First Dates'

Carlos Sobera and Laura Boado are, right now, the closest thing to official television matchmakers in Spain. With the complicated task of finding a partner who fits into one's paradigm, the First Dates program offers an exceptional service in exchange for exposure to millions of viewers. And in each program you can find moments of all kinds, from the most romantic to the most bizarre.

In one of the events of this Monday's program, we met Isabel María, alias Kim, who defined her nickname as something that made her feel more powerful. Likewise, she pointed out that she might show a different personality than her usual name. On the other hand, there was David, a nurse from Almería who admitted to having some difficulty when it came to falling in love, being somewhat more distrustful before being able to take the definitive step.

Kim is an energy expert, and it was clear right away that the connection was not there. “He's a baby,” she also commented, after knowing that he was a year smaller than her. However, they both came to the table and the dinner went off pleasantly. There were some bumps in the road, such as her disagreement when it came to liking the beach, which seemed shocking to her since she was very much a sea person, or even the frequency that each one had with the environment.

However, Kim tried to liven things up with a magic trick. Borrowing a coin from David, she insisted that she could place it behind his necklace and have it come out through his mouth. Somewhat hesitant and with curiosity behind her ear, she let his date take the lead. A few seconds later, the young woman had placed the coin behind her pendant and, without believing it, it ended up coming out from between her lips. Of course, the nurse was very surprised.

However, the appointment would end up arriving at another port. Even though they had both had a pleasant evening, she used the well-known term of the friend zone to define her situation, which defines a good vibe of friendship but not of a couple. Surprisingly, David also confessed that he preferred to continue staying with her as a friend of hers, something that Kim pleasantly accepted when they both saw that the romantic chemistry was not quite right for her.

This has not been the only notable appointment that we have been able to see in recent days. Last week we met Oscar and Sofía, who almost met an abrupt end after discovering that the man from Granada had no idea how to do basic household chores. Faced with such a revelation, the person involved was close to ending the matter right there: “You're laughing at me. I pick up and leave right now.”
