The singer Amaia talks about her relationship with Queen Letizia: ''Friends''

Yesterday a 'New Year's concert' of La Mesías was held at the Calderón theater in Madrid, a series created and directed by Los Javis for the Movistar Plus platform that has become a phenomenon in our country.

To put the final touch on the production and say goodbye in style to the fiction that has given them so much joy, the creators of La Llamada, Veneno or Paquita Salas decided to put on a kind of musical in which they could connect with friends, colleagues and fans directly.

800 people witnessed the reproduction of some of the most iconic scenes from The Messiah, the histrionic dances by the Baró family and the beautiful voice of the singer Amaia Romero, who plays the character of Cecilia in the fiction that won the Forqué award for the best series of 2023.

Although Lola Dueñas, Ana Rujas, Macarena García or Javis themselves passed the stage and surprised the audience, it was the group Stella Maris that was the star of the night.

If anyone stood out above the rest during the evening, it was Amaia Romero. The winner of Operación Triunfo 2017 spoke to the press at the event's photocall and explained that she would never have imagined having so much success as an actress, but that it was something that she really wanted to try and that she felt very grateful to those who were her teachers in the OT Academy for the opportunity.

At one point, a reporter asked him if the rumors that he shares a great friendship with Queen Letizia are true. ''Yes, my friends. Super best friends, I'm going to call her later to see what she thought of The Messiah,' she responded in a comical and ironic tone. ''My meeting with Queen Letizia was a very specific thing, but I don't know her (...) I was able to talk to her a little. Well, a normal woman. She told me that she remembered her when she had once come to the conservatory, that I played the piano for her. But I guess she wouldn't remember anyway. They had told him the same before. "I played the piano for both of them, for Felipe and Letizia," she explained, making it clear that there is no type of friendship between them.

Romero's debut on the small screen has generated countless positive reviews from experts and anonymous people, something that makes him very happy. In addition, Amaia is nominated for the 2024 Feroz Awards in the category Best Supporting Actress in a Series along with Carmen Machi and Irene Balmes, so she is really excited.

''For The Javis to have counted on me has been an incredible gift of life and on top of that it has brought me a nomination,'' she stated before the journalists, visibly moved.
