The reasons for the distance between Arévalo and Bertín Osborne after years of friendship: "He was not amused"

The sudden death of comedian Paco Arévalo at the age of 76, which occurred this past Wednesday, January 3, took by surprise one of his great friends for years: Bertín Osborne. In the midst of controversy over his recent paternity and the decision not to take care of his son, the singer and presenter has reacted to the news on television.

It was on the program En boca de todos, on Cuatro, where Osborne told Nacho Abad that, about a month ago, the two had a telephone argument over the neglect of Arévalo's health after the death of his wife. A friendship that has spanned three decades, although it has also had its ups and downs in recent years.

The program Así es la vida, on Telecinco, has recalled the notorious clash that both participated in in 2017, and which had its origin in a photograph shared by the comedian through social networks. In it, Arévalo and Bertín share paella with the emeritus king Don Juan Carlos and the Infanta Elena, as well as several of their friends.

The publication of the image did not please either Casa Real or the presenter himself, causing a rift between them for months. Arévalo then went to the Deluxe to justify himself: "I put it completely normally, as if I were bragging about being Spanish. Bertín was the least amused, because maybe he should have asked his permission," he said on Jorge Javier Vázquez's program. .

The journalist Paloma García Pelayo revealed Bertín's version in Viva la vida: "It is my house, it is a lack of respect for me and my wife, for my friends who are in that photo, and of course for Don Juan Carlos and the Infanta Elena," he explained.

The reconciliation took place months later, in the program presented by the same singer, Mi casa es la tuya, who received Arévalo for the occasion with a bouquet of flowers included. "The photo came up, and I thought I should have asked Bertín for permission," explained the comedian, while the singer assures that he heard versions that suggested that there was money involved in the photograph. "That has never come out of my mouth," Arévalo responded.
