Bertín Osborne will be a father for the sixth time in a matter of days. The singer, who recently celebrated his 69th birthday and was in the news again recently for his anger with the press, will have a son in common with Gabriela Guillén, who is due on December 31 and, if all goes well, he will receive the new year 2024 becoming a mother with the artist.
In the midst of the whirlwind of his new fatherhood, Bertín has made a drastic decision that was echoed by the program Y Ahora Sonsoles, on Antena 3, this Monday. The journalist Paloma García Pelayo, a regular contributor to the Sonsoles Ónega space, has been in charge of communicating a decision that affects one of the artist's children and that has been made by mutual agreement with her ex-wife Fabiola Martínez.
In 2009, the couple created the Bertín Osborne Foundation as a result of the illness suffered by their eldest son together, Kike Osborne. The young man was born two years earlier, in 2007, with cerebral palsy due to listeriosis during pregnancy. For this reason, Fabiola and Bertín decided to dedicate effort to helping other families who were living a similar experience.
"The idea of creating this foundation came from the experience of both when Kike was born," says García Pelayo, announcing that, from now on, the institution will bear the name of his son, instead of Bertín. It is a decision agreed upon by both parents, "not in a long time and in an organic way," according to the journalist.
In this way, the name will become the Kike Osborne Foundation as soon as possible. Paloma García Pelayo has assured in And now Sonsoles that she has spoken with Fabiola Martínez about this change, transmitting the Venezuelan's feelings after the decision made together with Bertín.
"She is especially excited. The essence and soul of the foundation is Kike, who is also about to come of age, and she wants it to bear her name, not only for that reason, but she is going to make him participate in in a personal way and I think that is something important," he assured.
