The emotional farewell that the actors of 'La Promesa' have given to Alejandro Vergara (Abel) after his farewell to the series

In a week full of surprises, two of the main protagonists of the successful series "The Promise" have left the project. Paula Losada was the first to say goodbye to the series on Monday, April 22, after the tragic event of Jimena's jump into the void.

A few days later, Alejandro Vergara followed suit and issued a statement through Instagram in response to the end of Abel in the Spanish Television series after more than a hundred episodes giving life to the character. At the end of filming, the entire production team and colleagues gave him a bouquet and he said goodbye through tears.

The actor, moved in his speech, only had words of gratitude: "The Promise has given me a lot. It has been an incredible experience in which I have met incredible people and where I have had a great time. I came to work very happy. It has been my life for the last year and I have lived it very happily. It has brought me many good things, nothing negative,” he said.

Abel's character was always characterized by his emotional connection with Jana and his participation in Jimena's web of emotions. In fact, the last scene he filmed, as revealed by the official account of the series, was precisely with the maid played by Ana Garcés.

Abel plays the role of a doctor in fiction, but in reality he does not get along so well with medicine. The actor revealed that he is a hypochondriac: "It's enough for me to enter a hospital for my head to hurt."

Despite this, he claims to have handled his role in the series well, except on one occasion: "I think it was during Curro's operation. The wound was so realistic that I couldn't even look," he confessed on RTVE.
