The amount that Ramón García has earned for each program of 'El Grand Prix'

On July 24, millions of people in our country witnessed the return of one of the formats most loved by the audience: The Grand Prix. After 18 years of listening to requests and wishes from viewers to recover the contest, the public network opted for the format and achieved a spectacular premiere: 26.1% screen share and more than two and a half million viewers.

On this occasion, TVE wanted to have the veteran presenter Ramón García, since, as many defended on social networks, the program would not be the same without his presence and his peculiar way of presenting. In this new season, two new signings were incorporated: the actress Michelle Calvó, who played the role of ambassador of the people and the streamer Cristinini, who was dedicated to commenting on the contestants' games from a prepared booth.

The program worked very well on La 1 de Televisión Española and achieved results above the channel's average with each gala, something that was celebrated by the RTVE entertainment department.

The data was good, but the reality is that a lot of money had been invested in the return of the format. According to the resolution of a petition that was submitted to the Transparency and Good Governance Council, the season cost the corporation 3.8 million euros in its entirety. The Board of Directors of RTVE approved that each episode had a budget of 542,800 euros (there were seven).

Although it was known how much money the space cost, until a few days ago the amount that Ramón García charged for presenting the funniest competition on television was not made public.

After a month since the Granada town of Alfacar won, it has been learned that García charged 20,000 euros for each episode broadcast, that is, a total of 140,000 euros. These data have come to light thanks to a request from the media TVienes to the Transparency portal mentioned above.

It must be taken into account that García's cachet was the same as that of Juan and Medio in Dúos Increíbles, but that there are other professionals who charge more. For example, Julia Otero charged 25,000 euros for each installment of Días de tele.

Something that is being widely commented on on social media is the huge difference that exists between the amount the presenter earned and the money his colleagues earned. The actress and content creator received half of García's salary: 10,000 euros per program and 70,000 euros in total.
