Susanna Griso's enigmatic reaction to the Conde-Pumpido scandal

Last Friday in Madrid, the National Police arrested Cándido Conde-Pumpido Varela, a criminal lawyer and son of the president of the Constitutional Court, for his alleged participation in a multiple sexual assault committed together with two other men, who were also arrested.

A reason for which he has already been released, but which continues to raise numerous doubts every time new information appears. Susanna Griso, who worked alongside the lawyer during her time as a collaborator at Espejo Público, admits that "something is missing" in this whole event.

The news of the lawyer's arrest generated quite a stir in the media of our country, and as could not be less, it has been one of the most commented topics in the different television and radio spaces. Griso had the opportunity to have the criminal lawyer as a collaborator - Conde-Pumpido participated in the program during the Procés trials - and to meet him personally, so his reaction to what happened was one of the most anticipated.

The Espejo Público presenter appeared at the Television Academy's Talent Awards, and was asked about the situation. The journalist admitted that she was quite shocked by the news, since she had worked for a long time with the criminal lawyer.

"It escapes me a little, what I know is that in the car the judge has seen that the images did not correspond to the complaint and those around her say that it is a false complaint," commented the communicator, confirming that she had not yet spoken to the lawyer "We'll have to see how it goes," she commented.

The journalist also added that it was "surprising" that this had arisen with what was falling politically and socially in our country. "It is surprising that at this moment, where an amnesty law is also passing through the Constitutional Court... I don't want to think that there is any spurious interest behind it," she said.

The communicator's words coincide with those of Ricardo Álvarez Osorio, legal representative of Conde-Pumpido, who doubts that the complainant was "on her own initiative due to a spontaneous infatuation with my client", but that it could be more a matter of having "gone with another intention or sent by someone".
