A week has passed since the third edition of the Idol Awards was held, awards created by and for the influencer world. The Gran Teatro Príncipe Pío in Madrid was decked out to receive the last season to be held in the Spanish capital, at least for now, which is already heading to the Valencian Community.
The looks chosen by the attendees captured the attention at a gala full of demands and, above all, controversies. And one of them is still hot in the headlines of the social chronicle. A rumor that has been talked about a lot has been the supposed anger that Dulceida, creator of the event, would have with María Pombo after her refusal to attend the ceremony.
And it is not surprising that this absence has drawn attention considering that the three Pombo sisters are some of the most important content creators in the country. The clan completely refused to attend the event last year as well, being the second in a row, despite being expressly invited and nominated in some of the categories.
"I made the decision not to go for a personal issue with one of the nominees (Telmo Trenado) in a category that I think is too big for him. A content creator who grew in followers thanks to constantly insulting me and my sisters," said Marta Pombo, María's sister, to justify her absence in 2023. However, this year's absence has not yet emerged.
Now, it was Susana Bicho, Dulceida's friend, who wanted to give her point of view on what happened. "I think that in the end there was a lot of hype, but in the end María does not go to almost any event. So it is given a lot of importance because it is Aída's, but in the end they are co-workers," he stated, making it clear that there is no friendship between them.
An issue that he does not see as "important", since María is not the only influencer who has missed the appointment. "If she is angry or not, you have to ask her, but from my point of view, I do consider myself a friend of Aída and we hang out a lot among friends and when we go to dinner María Pombo doesn't come," she added.
Even so, and despite the fact that Susana believes that there is no bad feeling between the two, Pablo Castellano's wife assured in an interview for Glamor the reason for her absence in 2023. A reason that, far from clearing up speculation about a possible enmity , increased them.
"In my particular case I could not attend because I had work and I finished the recording day very late. But I think that, in the same way, as I told Dulceida, whom I admire and love, I would not have felt comfortable attending for personal reasons. ", he assured, putting the influencer's discomfort on the table.
