Susan Sarandon is left without agency for her anti-Semitic comments

Hollywood is experiencing a real revolution since the war broke out in Gaza. The agreement between Israel and Hamas for the release of hostages and the truce for several days has only fanned the flame between both sides, and that has made many famous people become much more vocal in their opinions publicly.

Unfortunately, voicing their opinions out loud is costing them a very high price, because many production companies and representation agencies are taking matters into their own hands and dispensing with all those who declare themselves or make anti-Semitic comments, without distinction. One of those affected was the Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon, who was fired by her representation agency because of her strong opinions on the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

The actress belonged to UTA, one of the largest and most successful representation agencies in Hollywood; and all because of her last speech, where her opinions have been branded anti-Semitic.

"There are a lot of people who are afraid of being Jewish right now, and they are experiencing first-hand a taste of what it feels like to be Muslim in this country," said the actress.

Apparently, several members of UTA would have felt very offended by the actress's comments, which would have led to her termination as a representative at the agency, of which she has been a client since 2014.

Aviva Klompas, former director of speechwriting for the Israeli Mission to the United Nations, said that the actress's words only made American Jews think that they "deserved" to live whatever they wanted to happen to them.

"When Susan Sarandon said that Jews 'are getting a taste of what it's like to be Muslim in this country,' she was saying that American Jews deserve it - that we don't deserve to live free of harassment and assault," he said.

Obviously, hundreds of users on social networks reacted to the actress's comments, pointing out the amount of "rights" and "freedoms" they enjoyed in the United States. However, the protagonist of Thelma

The increase in anti-Semitic comments and attitudes has increased considerably since the beginning of the war. In addition to Susan Sarandon, the controversy has also cost her jobs to the Mexican actress Melissa Barrera, protagonist of the new Scream saga, who was left out of the next film due to her comments on social networks.

The same thing has happened to Maha Dakhil, one of the main talent agents in Hollywood - with stars in her portfolio such as Natalie Portman, Reese Witherspoon and Tom Cruise - who has had to say goodbye to her position as leader of the CAA agency after sharing a message on her Instagram Stories that said "You are learning right now who supports genocide."
