Rozalén denounces receiving insults and serious threats for her activism: "I feel afraid"

Rozalén is one of the great artists of our country. The woman from La Mancha has been immersed in the world of music for more than a decade, where she has managed to conquer the hearts of thousands of followers with her unforgettable songs. Furthermore, the composer has always been very involved in defending people's rights. Something that we have been able to see in different events and through her social networks.

For this reason, this past Monday, the singer was awarded the Lola González 2023 award, awarded by the Arte y Memoria Association. This recognition highlights the artist's long career in the defense of human rights and democratic memory.

The singer picked up the award, visibly moved and assuring before the EFE cameras that this award reminded her a lot of her grandmother, since she was the one who transmitted to her all the pain she suffered years ago during one of the worst times in Spain. A message that deeply penetrated the singer, who today wants to reclaim everything that her grandmother kept silent about through her songs.

''What doesn't seem fair to me, if I don't say it, I'm being a participant. "We have to assume what each person has to do, even if they suffer now in the form of words through social networks," the interpreter confessed before the EFE cameras.

Some harsh words that were going to be repeated again during the awards ceremony, where the artist wanted to open up about the amount of hate and threats she received for defending democratic memory. ''At the foot of an open mass grave, a man from the town, without any consideration, says that all of us who were there deserved to be there with a well-shot shot. So that's why my voice shakes when I talk about this. And I honestly feel scared,' she declared very excitedly.

The award commemorates the memory of Lola González Ruiz, one of the survivors of the massacre of the Atocha lawyers in 1977, in which she lost her husband and was seriously injured. Despite everything, the lawyer continued her life fighting for different injustices until the moment of her death, on January 27, 2015.
