Paz Padilla understands everything when commenting on his former colleagues from 'Save me': "Just like they do me"

Save me closes its doors forever. Today, June 23, 2023, the trajectory of a program that has made history on television in our country comes to an end. After more than 14 uninterrupted years on the air leading audiences and thousands of evenings accompanying millions of viewers in their homes, the heart format says goodbye to the small screen.

A few weeks ago, the newspaper El Mundo published exclusively that the new leaders of Mediaset España had decided to cancel the space dedicated to tabloids to give the network a "more familiar" touch and that instead, from September, they will put on a new magazine presented by the journalist Ana Rosa Quintana.

The Sálvame workers found out about the news at the same time as everyone else, since they had not received any type of notification from the leadership of the communication group.

Although this was not very funny and the surprise was huge, from the program they took the cancellation with humor and decided to live their last weeks of broadcast giving the best of themselves. During their latest episodes, we have been able to see how they updated the curriculum of the collaborators live or how they valued the set, since it would be unused in a short time.

Despite the general positive attitude, many workers have admitted that they are "very sorry" that Mediaset bosses have decided to end a program that is "so alive", but that they respect their decision.

On the other hand, viewers still do not believe to this day that the show presented by Jorge Javier Vázquez is going to die permanently. After hundreds of complaints, comments and insults, the situation calmed down when La Fábrica de la Tele, producer of Sálvame, began to publish a series of videos of some collaborators reacting to a 'secret' piece of news. Although it is not yet public, some media have announced that Belén Esteban, Kiko Hernández and María Patiño, among others, will participate in a new project from Netflix.

Comedian and actress Paz Padilla was part of the program's team for more than a decade. Despite having given unforgettable moments to the show's audience and having met incredible people, Padilla left the format through the back door in bad ways.

Taking advantage of the fact that yesterday she attended an event at the Warner Park in Madrid, the journalists asked Ana Ferrer's mother about the end of Sálvame and she responded in a good manner: "Two years ago I broke up and I wish you all that they do very well. TV is like that." When the reporter asked her if she wished her teammates the best, Padilla replied with a smile that many have interpreted as "ironic" and said yes: "Just like they wished me."
