María del Monte is in the process of rebuilding after the serious incident she experienced in August 2023, when her house in Seville was attacked. During the robbery, the intruders took a large amount of valuables and subjected his wife, Inmaculada Casal, to a traumatic experience, threatening them with violence if they did not cooperate.
The arrest of Antonio Tejado as the alleged “intellectual author” of the crime in his aunt's house deepens the pain and changes the perception of every detail of the past, giving it a new importance.
This includes the dog that he gave to the singer after the robbery at her home, now the artist no longer wants to have it at home.
According to José Antonio Avilés, collaborator of 'This is Life', the singer would be considering getting rid of the dog. The collaborator states that it is difficult for María del Monte to see the animal every day without remembering the theft, so she has decided not to keep it at home any longer:
“The decision he has made is to get rid of the little dog that Antonio Tejado gave him,” said Avilés, explaining that “he cannot live with the animal without remembering what happened.”
Although there has yet to be an official confirmation from Maria, this decision, if true, would undoubtedly be difficult and controversial. Getting rid of an animal that has been a part of daily life for so long is not an easy choice.
However, we hope that, if this is the case, María will find a good home for the dog, entrusting it to people around her who will surely take care of it and give it the affection it deserves.
