Natalie Portman speaks out on speculation about her divorce from Benjamin Millepied: "It's terrible"

Natalie Portman has managed to earn her place among the most recognized actresses internationally thanks to her performances in films such as Black Swan, Closer or V for Vendetta. So much so, that she has managed to win great awards in her career, including an Oscar, two Golden Globes and a BAFTA.

A successful life professionally, which seems to have not been able to translate as much personally. Although she has two children whom she adores, Aleph and Amalia, last summer she suffered a serious blow to his marriage. The actress and dancer Benjamin Millepied decided to divorce after 11 years of relationship. And although she has always remained silent, she has now wanted to speak out briefly.

Natalie Portman has been part of the cover number 30 of Vanity Fair's Hollywood Issue, which has been shared by colleagues such as Bradley Cooper, Pedro Pascal and Jenna Ortega. For this reason, he has given an interview in which he has talked about what her private life means to her, something sacred.

However, the journalist could not miss the opportunity to ask about the scandal of her ex-husband's alleged infidelities during their relationship. Something that she wanted to settle with a single sentence. "It's terrible and I have no desire to contribute to it," referring to the speculation.

Although their relationship came to an end, months before nothing was talked about other than the alleged infidelities. The French magazine Voici uncovered one of them. The media claimed that Benjamin Millepied was seeing a young influencer 20 years younger than him. Information that was quite a scandal and that probably ended up triggering the divorce.

''They're trying to figure things out. "Benjamin is doing everything possible to get Natalie to forgive him," a source told Page Six a few months ago. However, it seems that this reconciliation has not been possible.

Despite everything, Natalie Portman has always been very jealous of her privacy, which is why she has rarely talked about her private life. "I was very protective about it from the very beginning. In the beginning I chose a name different from mine, which was an interesting way to separate both identities," she said in the aforementioned interview. So much so, that she would get angry if someone called her by the wrong name.

Something that ended up causing her trouble understanding that she was part of the two identities she had formed. "I felt like I wasn't accepting that they were both part of me, that there wasn't a 'real' me and a 'fake' one, and that they didn't necessarily have different names," she confessed, opening her heart to him.
