Natalia Jiménez announces legal actions against her colleagues from La Quinta Estación

More than a decade ago, the members of La Quinta Estación decided to separate. Unexpected news for Spanish music, since the trio was one of the most popular groups of the moment on the national scene.

Initially made up of six people, only its vocalist, Natalia Jiménez, and its guitarist, Ángel Reyero, remained until the end. Soul of the group, Jiménez crossed the pond and settled in Mexico, where he has managed to carve out a successful career, but where he also received the news of the creation of a new group, Cinco Estaciones, made up of two of his former colleagues and with his old songs.

"What they are trying to do is a fraud," Natalia Jiménez assures the magazine Week of the purpose of Sven Martín and Pablo Domínguez, the two former members of La Quinta Estación who are trying to revive the spirit of the group and include some of their old songs -of which they claim to be authors- with their new vocalist, the Argentinian Karito Volpe.

A piece of news that the singer receives with anger and anger, assuring that she plans to "fight to the end" to defend what is hers: "I don't care if someone takes out their group and promotes themselves. Great, so far good. The problem it's when you use a trademarked name. They're trying to take advantage, creating a new group and using my songs," he insists.

For the singer, both the name they have chosen -Cinco Estaciones- and the way they promote themselves is too closely related to the old La Quinta Estación, and that is a fraud.

"They are trying to do fraud by plagiarizing La Quinta Estación through this group, using our songs that we continually have to remove from their networks, because they do not have the right to use them," she explains, assuring that many of them are written by her on her totally, and others at 50% with their producer.

Natalia Jiménez does not have good memories of either of the two former colleagues who now give her headaches. She hardly even talks about Sven Martín, since he was only with them for a few months, long before the success of El sol no regresa. Of Pablo Domínguez, neither, because she reminds him that he signed ceding his rights to the name of La Quinta Estación when he left the group. What's more, she considers him a very conflictive person.

"I do not want communication with that man. You can do what you want, but you cannot break the law," he insists, assuring that his lawyers and those of Ángel Reyero have already started working on this matter: "That name is ours. I think reach the end".

For the singer, who will soon embark on a tour to commemorate her successful 20-year career and the already legendary The Sun Does Not Return, this is not a betrayal, because "betrayal is when you love someone and they hurt you," she insists. .

Last January, the band Cinco Estaciones announced through social networks that it was beginning its musical adventure.

"New band, the same founders and former members of La Quinta Estación", are promoted on Instagram, presenting their new vocalist, the Argentine Karito Volpe; and a video announcing their upcoming world tour: "All the hits that made you rock, and new releases that will blow you away!!," they write, "You're going to sing those songs that made you rock again, AND you're going to to also be part of the new album, with new releases".

The group announced itself in style and, since then, they have done nothing but promote their imminent return in what they call "Pijama Sessions", revealing the aptitudes as a vocalist from Argentina, acoustically. The truth is, her voice is similar to the tone that Natalia Jiménez had in La Quinta Estación.

It is not known how all this will end, but it seems that they will have to fight for what is theirs or change their name and idea for their project, because Natalia Jiménez does not intend to allow anyone to touch what is hers.
