Dancing with the Stars arrives on the Telecinco grid next Saturday, January 13, presented by Jesús Vázquez and Valeria Mazza, which marks the return of the dance format to television in Spain after its first stage on TVE during the year. 2018.

Although there are only two weeks left for its grand premiere, the Mediaset network had not yet revealed a single detail about the casting that the program will feature, which has become one of the communication group's big bets for the new year 2024. This Tuesday, the first of the names was officially revealed in TardeAR, after a few days of promotion in Telecinco's advertising breaks.

This is the former soccer player Miguel Torres, retired from the sport in 2019 and a partner of the actress Paula Echevarría for five years, with whom he has a son in common. In this way, Mediaset confirms information already reported days ago by Algo Pasa TV, which placed the athlete in the new dance program that the network will premiere with the arrival of the new year.

Torres thus embarks on a new television adventure after his brief stint on Mask Singer last season. There, both he and Echevarría hid behind a double mask, the first in the history of the format in Spain, of aliens. It was in the month of June when Antena 3 viewers were able to discover them both under the disguise.

Although the name of Miguel Torres is the first that Mediaset officially announces, the cast of Dancing with the Stars is taking shape and it is already known what will be the big name that the communication group has put on the table to revolutionize the new format for Saturday nights.

As Algo Pasa TV has already announced, designer Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada will also be part of the casting of well-known faces who will perform various choreographies on stage, with the aim of becoming the celebrity with the best dancing skills. All this, in addition, with the help of several professionals in the discipline.
