Whoever was watching Telecinco last Wednesday night will have been able to see the first promo of Survivientes 2024 to announce its new edition. A 20-second clip that featured none other than Jorge Javier Vázquez as the protagonist.
The images show the presenter enjoying a long vacation, while having a refreshing drink in front of the pool. The legendary reality song and a "finally!" expressed by the communicator, they have just confirmed what many were already waiting for: he will once again be in charge of the galas.
The presenter disappeared from television after the cancellation of his program Chinese Tales, which was his return after the end of Sálvame. And although this reappearance was characterized by failure in ratings, as it coincided directly with El Hormiguero, there are many who tirelessly requested the presence of Jorge Javier in Supervivientes.
There was already a lot of controversy with the choice of Marta Flich as presenter of the new editions of the Big Brother brand, and it is not surprising that Mediaset wanted to play it safe with the survival reality show, one of its flagships.
"They never told me that I was not going to present Survivors. When they met me after the cancellation of Chinese Tales they already told me that I was going to present the program, but later I no longer have control of the things that are published," said the presenter a few months ago for Lecturas magazine.
Now, the news is confirmed. And although the announcement of the rest of the presenters remains to be seen, Vertele gave the four names a few days ago. The Catalan will be joined by Sandra Barneda, with Conexión Honduras on Sundays, Carlos Sobera, in charge of Tierra de Nadie on Tuesdays, and Laura Madrueño, from the island.
And it is normal that Telecinco is already promoting the new edition, even though they are in the middle of GHDÚO 2. This season of Survivientes is scheduled to begin in mid-March. According to El Televisero, the first gala could premiere on March 14, with the survivors falling from the helicopter.
Once the new data is known, the pools about the possible contestants are already in full swing, especially on social networks. Carmen Borrego and Ángel Cristo Jr. are two names that are very strong. They are joined by Ágatha Ruíz de la Prada, Olvido Hormigos, Aitor Molinero (Adara's brother) and Susi Caramelo. Even so, the final list that will be released in the coming weeks remains to be seen.
