When Margaret of Denmark's abdication became known, the then Princess Mary made a declaration of intent about the style strategy she was going to follow during her reign. It was a day after her surprising announcement, when she accompanied her husband, King Frederick, to an institutional event.
The princess chose one of her favorite dresses from her closet that she had debuted in January 2007 and that she had worn on up to seven occasions. A burgundy velvet piece from Birgit Hallstein, with a bateau neckline and fitted at the waist, with which she made it clear that she had no problem repeating those fetish garments from her dressing room. This strategy was confirmed days later with a blue Heartmade design.
Two months after her coronation, the Queen has once again dazzled with a recycled outfit that she wore for the first time in 2007. It was at the State Council dinner, held at the Palace of Frederick VIII in Amalienborg, that for the first time they have presided over by kings Frederick and Mary.
For this important occasion, the Australian has relied on a By Malene Birger outfit consisting of a black satin top with a bateau neckline and waist cut to stylize her figure and a long skirt with embroidered circle fringes that provide movement.
She wore this same garment again five years ago with a white top and a matching blazer, thus demonstrating its versatility. A combination that rejuvenated the proposal and also provided that casual touch to the design.
Unlike the day of the premiere, Mary has not opted for her loose hair with the ends sticking out, but has preferred a sophisticated low bun with the part in the middle. She has also worn some jewelry that belongs to the royal jeweler, specifically, diamond and ruby earrings, a bracelet and a brooch.
