Supernatural star Mark Sheppard recently nearly died after suffering six heart attacks in a row in a collapse episode in a kitchen in a house in Los Angeles.
The British actor, 59, claims that his wife Sarah Louise Fudge has saved his life and says he feels "humbled" by the near-death experience, which required four resuscitations.
Sheppard explained that he had suffered a "widowmaker", the deadliest type of cardiac arrest, which occurs when the major coronary artery, the LAD, becomes blocked.
“You're not going to believe it. Yesterday I was on my way to an appointment when I passed out in the kitchen. “Six massive heart attacks later, and being brought back from death 4 times I apparently had a 100% blockage in my LAD,” he explained in an Instagram post.
“If it wasn't for my wife, the LAD at Mullholland and the incredible staff at St Joseph's I wouldn't be writing this. My chances of surviving were practically zero,” she added.
Finally, the actor has assured that he feels perfectly fine after the difficult moment he has experienced: “I feel very good. Humble once again. Tomorrow at home.”
