Mario Vargas Llosa dedicates his latest novel to his ex-wife, Patricia Llosa

Nearly ten months have passed since the magazine Lecturas uncovered the breakup between the writer Mario Vargas Llosa and the socialite Isabel Preysler. All this time, the ex-couple has been living separate lives. We have been able to see her calm and happy, taking charge of the preparations for her daughter's wedding, Tamara Falcó, and attending some public events. For his part, the writer has been seen on several occasions with his ex-wife, Patricia Llosa. Both could have resumed their relationship after more than eight years apart. In fact, Llosa has now dedicated his new book, I Dedicate My Silence, to her who was his wife and who is also his cousin.

As we said, the Peruvian author is about to launch his new novel, the one he wrote while he was with Isabel Preysler. She lived the entire writing process of this new work. Despite all this, if something has caught our attention, it is that Vargas Llosa wanted to make a gesture with his ex-wife and mother of his children in this new novel. "To Patricia" can be read as a dedication to this book. A most beautiful gesture with the mother of his children, which has also been described by many as a dart to his ex-partner.

As published by the newspaper El País, the media has been able to speak with the Nobel Prize winner's entourage and they have described this gesture with his Patricia as "nice and deserved." Mario Vargas Llosa and Patricia Llosa broke up their marriage in 2015, just when they were celebrating 50 years of relationship. The family lived through difficult times, since the writer's children turned to his mother, who found out about his romance with Preysler through the press.

"My children and I are surprised and very saddened by the photographs that have appeared in a gossip magazine. Mario and I have just celebrated 50 years of marriage," he said at that time, implying that before the official news he had no no idea about the relationship between the 'Queen of Hearts' and her then husband. Eight years later, Patricia and Mario have met again, and have been making plans together.

Mario Vargas Llosa and Patricia Llosa have enjoyed the summer together and have been enjoying family trips, such as in Sicily. "It has already been confirmed that they have returned," said Nacho Gay, director of Vanitatis, this summer on the program And Now, Sonsoles. "They are on a romantic trip to Sicily and they seem very affectionate," he said. On his return from this dream trip, the writer was approached by the press upon his arrival at the Atocha train station (Madrid), and in the background, a few meters away, appeared Patricia, who then tried to go unnoticed, although without success. .

It seems that, despite the time apart, theirs is going from strength to strength, which is why the writer wanted to make the final gesture with his wife, definitively shelving his story with Isabel. The Peruvian wanted the name of the woman of his life and the mother of his children to appear in this novel that is so significant to him. And, despite all the adversities, life has brought them together again.
