Mario Vaquerizo after the controversy generated by his opinion on 'extreme thinness': "Controversy is sought where there is none"

Mario Vaquerizo faces a very special year. The singer and television collaborator turns 50 on July 5, and claims to be more than happy with his physical appearance.

The husband of Olvido Gara, better known as Alaska, has visited Vicky Martín Berrocal's podcast 'A solas con Vicky' where he has made his opinion clear about his body: "I like extreme thinness."

As El Español reports, Vaquerizo visited the designer on March 12, starring in a most intense episode. During his time on the podcast, the radio collaborator revealed details about his relationship, his beliefs and her current state.

When asked about the stage he is currently going through, Vaquerizo was totally transparent: "I look more handsome now, at 66 kilos, than when I weighed 80. I like extreme thinness," he stated, quickly becoming a trending topic.

After these controversial statements, the singer has exploded in the face of criticism: "Really? You look for controversy where there is none. Everyone has to advocate for feeling good about themselves. I like to be thin, and since I am a "Thinner person, I'm happier," says Vaquerizo.

Finally, the actor states: "Whoever wants to be less thin and thus be happier, let him be. The important thing is that each one manages to achieve what one wants to be in life and that he achieves the project that he has in his life from which is small."
