The latest edition of MasterChef Celebrity has left moments to remember. A few weeks ago, the actress and presenter Lara Dibildos was one of the VIP guests on the program, where she coincided with her ex-partner, Álvaro Muñoz Escassi, who is participating in the contest. In fact, the rider has already become one of the two finalists. Laura Valenzuela's daughter attended the contest to be next to the father of her son, and there they both revealed some details about her past. This Thursday, the Sevillian once again referred to his ex-partner with some very emotional words.
The Spanish Television culinary reality show has not only served Álvaro Muñoz Escassi to demonstrate his skills in the kitchen, but also to make himself known on a personal level. The rider has not hesitated to reveal some details of his personal life that were unknown until now, such as what his relationship with Lara Dibildos, his ex-partner, is really like. Both have maintained a great friendship for years, despite the romance full of ups and downs that they starred in nearly two decades ago. As a result of their love affair, little Álvaro, their common son, was born.
It was in 2005 when Álvaro and Lara began a relationship. This romance broke up overnight, after some very compromising photographs of him with another woman came to light. Escassi came out to apologize publicly at that time, and they eventually reconciled. However, the disloyalties continued, leading to the couple's final breakup in 2007, months after the birth of their common son. Despite everything, the couple found a way to get along.
In fact, their relationship is so strong that we've seen them support each other through the best and worst of times. An example of this were the images that the press took of Laura Valenzuela's funeral last March, where the rider appeared comforting the actress. Furthermore, a few weeks ago, Álvaro received a visit from Lara at the contest. "I didn't give much for you, but... I know that you are a hard worker and that you achieve what you set your mind to," Dibildos told Muñoz Escassi at one point during the recording. "Let them tell you, right?" he responded, ironically and demonstrating the good vibes between them.
"Then you forget a little. But, well, for our son and me you not only have to reach the final, but win," the actress said then. Due to the great harmony that exists between the two, Dibildos revealed some details about the relationship she had with the father of her child. "We were a couple 18 years ago. He was at the top of his game, very unfocused and distracted. I see him now, so focused, completely different. I would have liked to catch him like that," she said honestly, causing laughter from the present on the recording set.
The truth is that Lara had already spoken about these infidelities before. "Escassi was unfaithful to me a week after we met," Lara acknowledged in an interview in Sálvame Deluxe a while ago. However, despite everything that happened between them, they both found a way to have a beautiful relationship for the sake of their common son. Precisely, in the last installment of the program, it was Escassi who was honest about it.
"My son doesn't believe he's here. I've been very lucky with my children," said Álvaro Muñoz Escassi during the outdoor test in which he was chosen as a finalist. "Because I, for my part, have done what I could," he expressed, referring to them, as if implying that he has not been the best of parents. "Have you taken care of your children?" Samantha Vallejo-Nájera asked him then. "I haven't been very, very worried," the rider was sincere at the time.
That's when the judge wanted to know more and continued asking. "Why did they have madrassas or why?" She expressed. It was then that Álvaro, agreeing with him, could not avoid referring to Lara Dibildos. "My son's mother is impressive. Lara is wonderful," he said, revealing the good harmony that exists between the two. He also drew attention that he had not also referred to the mother of Anna Barrachina, his other daughter.
